What is ClimateHero?

ClimateHero is one of Europe's leading climate tech companies, with a mission to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Founded in 2018, we have helped more than two million individuals and 1,000+ organisations understand, measure and reduce their climate impact.

We work across two complementary areas. For individuals and communities, we offer one of the world's most widely used personal carbon calculators. For businesses and organisations, we provide a full suite of climate services — from carbon accounting and LCA to sustainability reporting, science-based targets and climate contributions.

We are based in Stockholm, with clients across Europe and beyond. Our team combines deep climate expertise with a pragmatic, technology-driven approach — built on the belief that credible data and meaningful action go hand in hand.

Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. Our mission and strategy are fully oriented around addressing the climate crisis (SDG 13 — Climate Action), and climate impact is never traded off against commercial considerations. It is present in every decision we make and every goal we pursue.

ClimateHero's work also has an indirect positive impact on several other global sustainability goals, especially SDG 3, 7, 11, 12 and 15. For example, the lifestyle recommendations we offer individuals — such as reducing red meat consumption or repairing rather than replacing — promote both climate action and better health.

Beyond engaging individuals and businesses, we actively monitor and minimise the environmental impact of our own operations — including purchasing second-hand IT equipment and maintaining a strict no-fly travel policy. Read more in ClimateHero's climate report below.

Our sustainability efforts follow ISO 26000, which guides organisations to expand their societal responsibility and maximise their contribution to sustainable development. Our annual self-declaration is published and independently verified.
